Sotic have extended our platform by developing a framework to deliver mobile applications. Using this approach we have been able to build some of the most successful iPhone applications for the sports industry, with a typical build time for a new app at less than a month

Our iPhone Apps differ greatly from many out there, as rather than reinventing the wheel the majority of the content and navigation is managed and controlled directly by our clients, using the same tools as their current website. Customers can choose which news, images or video appears where and when. This approach reduces the number of tools staff need to use to update and manage different platforms.
From the fans perspective they have direct access to fixtures, results, news, video, sponsor related content, live match updates and photo galleries from thier phone. Fans are increasingly using mobile phones to view Internet content and this is going to become one of the most important methods of communication between a club/federation supporter base. To highlight this, statistics show that there are now four times as many mobile phones in the world as there are PCs.
Another major advantage in the approach we have taken is that we are using the same data and content across all platforms which ensures the integrity of the information delivered, a critical requirement for sports clubs and federations. By continuing to centralise all content delivery via a content management system clients can choose where your content appears and when. They may choose to publish information to the iPhone before the main website or choose to publish only to the iPhone, all using the same tried and tested tools with no retraining.
Whilst iPhone Apps are the current focus of attention, we believe that this marketplace will change rapidly, the emergence of Google's competing operating system Android is now in over 20 different phones. Another major development was the announcement at the Mobile World Conference in February 2010 that two dozen of the worlds biggest mobile providers are getting together to produce an open apps platform to rival the iPhone.
The solution we have built is platform independent, as winners emerge we will be able to develop apps for that market, taking advantage of the backend and protecting our clients investment.
We are working with many customers for both free and paid for Apps as well as working with sponsors to deliver affordable mobile solutions.
