Sotic has a wealth of experience in managing and delivering sports statistics for our clients to the web and other forms of media. MatchDayStats is the core product used by our clients to drive the hundreds of thousands of fixtures and events that are seamlessly integrated across Sotic's portfolio of websites, and supplies the data to third parties via fully customisable feeds such as XML and JSON. Among the range of sports and tournaments that use versions of the system include every British Lions rugby game since 1888, International Sailing Federation for their World Rankings, Basketball GB for the national teams and European Rugby Cup for both the Heineken Cup and Amblin Challenge cup since both tournaments inceptions.

The intuitive MatchDayStats interface enables users to set-up even the most complex competitions and tournaments for a variety of different sports with ease. Each competition can be configured right down to the bonus point formulae and the league table ordering rules. When it comes to setting up teams, the MatchDayStats database holds detailed information such as home stadia, kit colours and contact details for key personnel. We know how important it is for statistical data to be completely accurate, and so we've included features like the native handling of team name changes between seasons, ensuring that the correct name is shown on historic data. Player management is equally comprehensive, including online squad registration and de-duplication tools so that errors made during data entry can be repaired within seconds.

Fixture and event management is a key part of MatchDayStats. In addition to all the features you would expect, we have included some useful additions such as pre-match team line-ups. This part of the system allows the squad to be expanded and/or multiple players assigned to the same position where there are, for example, late fitness tests. After the match the pre-match line-ups are automatically compared to the final line-ups, giving governing bodies an efficient way of highlighting any regulation breaches. The MatchDayStats live tracking interface has also benefited from our many years of experience in this area, offering a simple method to quickly record events and text commentary during the match.

Of course, no statistics system would be complete without advanced data reporting options, and this is where MatchDayStats really comes into its own. Our unique custom query builder allows an infinite combination of queries and reports, each of which can be output in HTML, CSV, XML, JSON, and formats that have not yet been conceived! In addition to supplying dynamic web content, these feeds can be used for media guides, press packs and more.
