Legendary Norwich City forward Chris Sutton has confirmed he will be at Carrow Road for the Greatest Ever event, Sunday 18 May.
Chris Sutton was a product of the Norwich Youth scheme signing a professional contract in 1991. He immediately broke into the first team. Originally a centre half, Dave Stringer converted him to a forward. Sutton found immediate success upfront as for much of the first season of the Premiership Norwich topped the table, before slipping back to third place. His strength and power, allied with a good touch and eye for goal made him a force to be reckoned with. His performances in the UEFA Cup run terrorised the Bayern Munich and Inter Milan defences.

He left Norwich for Blackburn in 1994 for a record breaking £5 million fee. At Blackburn he won a Championship medal paired alongside Alan Shearer. Next stop was Chelsea before a move to Celtic saw him paired with Henrik Larsson and the collection of three SPL titles, two Scottish League Cups and two Scottish Cups. He also played in a UEFA Cup Final. Sutton joined Birmingham in 2006 before leaving the same year for Aston Villa where he suffered a blow to the head that blurred his vision and forced his retirement. Sutton played 13 times for England Under 21s, twice for England ‘B’ but only once for the full England team.
