Retired boxer Foundation
The World's Greatest Ever Boxer is proud to be supporting the Retired Boxers Foundation (RBF) as its official charity.

As part of the World's Greatest Ever Boxer program a number of special fundraising initiatives will be conducted.

These will include:

  • Exclusive memorabilia auction and fundraising activities at the USA vs The World Boxing event on Saturday December 12 2009.
  • Exclusive pre-event donation campaign directed to all ticket holders.
  • Donations campaign at Paris Hotel over the weekend of December 11, 12 & 13 2009.
  • A percentage of all sponsorship income will be donated exclusively to the RBF.

The World's Greatest Ever Boxer will also work to raise the profile of the RBF and will put in place on-going, global, fund-raising programmes.

Many of the world's legendary fighters have already pledged their support for the programme. The legends are using the World's Greatest Ever Boxer programme as an opportunity to help fellow professionals fighters who haven't been as fortunate in their retirement and who have fought, most times heroically, against health and poverty issues.

This is a programme that all fighters feel stringly about and is an opportunity to make a real difference for fighters who in many cases have given absolutely everything to the sport and its fans. This is an opportunity to give something back in real terms to these fighters at a time when they need the support of fight fans more than ever before in their lives.

About the Retired Boxers Foundation

The mission of the Retired Boxers Foundation is to assist retired professional boxers in the transition from their glorious days in the ring to a dignified retirement. The Foundation was started by Alex 'The Bronx Bomber' Ramos in 1998 and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 200.

It especially looks to help those suffering from alcohol and substance abuse problems, homelessness and the effects of pugilistic dementia (the medical term for being "punch drunk").

RBF's goal is to identify and build resources that are available and accessible to retired professional boxers, under five primary areas of service; financial services; rehabilitation services; housing services; Youth Services, and Senior Citizen Services.

The World's Greatest Ever Boxer looks forward to contributing significantly to this most worthwhile charity.
